About IFA

Formed in 1938, International Fiscal Association (IFA) is the only non-governmental and non-sectoral international organization dealing with fiscal matters. With its headquarters in the Netherlands, the main objectives of IFA are the study and advancement of international and comparative fiscal law, as well as the financial and economic aspects of taxation.

The International Fiscal Association is an international organisation dealing with fiscal matters. IFA is neutral, independent, a non-profit organisation and as such THE only global network of its kind. It provides for a platform where representatives of all professions and interests can meet and discuss tax issues at the highest level. Its members are tax lawyers, tax accountants, academics with a focus on taxation, the tax administration, and judges from all over the world.

Its objectives are the study and advancement of international and comparative law in regard to public finance, specifically international and comparative fiscal law and the financial and economic aspects of taxation.

The IFA aims to achieve these objectives by organising its annual congress, by having regional IFA branch conferences in place, such as the IFA APAC international tax conferences and obviously also by organising local IFA branch seminars and events. With that also comes scientific publications and research, for example, the annually published IFA book, which is a digital publication of the various IFA Branches' reports in relation to a particular tax topic.

The IFA HK Branch is proud to contribute to these objectives and continues to organise seminars in Hong Kong focussing on current fiscal developments and changes in tax legislation.

When joining IFA HK as a member, you will not only become a member of a strong international organisation and network, you would also be entitled to join all local IFA HK seminars for free, receive the annual IFA Cahiers for free, and be able to join the annual conference and regional conference at discounted fees.
